Mortal replica of Moljnir
In Norse mythology, Mjolnir is the hammer of Thor, a major god associated with thunder in Norse mythology. Distinctively shaped, Mjöllnir is depicted in Norse mythology as one of the most fearsome weapons, capable of leveling mountains. In order wield Mjolnir Thor wore a belt and special iron gloves. The megingjör is a belt worn by the god Thor. The belt is said to double the wielders strength. Járngreipr (Old Norse “iron gripper”) or Járnglófi (“iron gauntlet”) are the iron gloves of the god Thor According to the Prose Edda, the belt is one of Thor’s three main possessions, along with the hammer Mjolnir and the iron gloves Járngreipr. When worn, the belt is described as doubling Thor’s godly strength.
Arfasta is a scaled down version of the deity’s weapon. Only the most devoted of Thor’s worshippers are gifted by the gods. The hammer is both a gift and a test, for in order to tap the potential of the hammer a series of tests was devised by Loki as a way of preventing worthy mortals entry into Migard.
